Non-Traditional Learning

Great Place to Learn has a longstanding tradition of commitment to meeting the needs of all our clients. We recognize that our clients don't always have "traditional" educational needs. Services available for "non-traditional" learners include:

College Bound?

  Our certified guidance counselor assists college bound students and their parents in the college selection and application process.

   Workshops and private sessions begin by providing step-by-step guidance regarding interview and interest inventories which are used to create individualized portfolios; these help determine appropriate college choices. Students are then guided through deadline scheduling and advisement, financial aid planning and application, scholarship advisement, and the college interview and acceptance process.

Studying for the SAT?

  We can help! Diagnostic testing enables us to immediately determine areas of weakness and prioritize them so that we can begin instructing each student according to his or her individual needs. Great Place to Learn will assist students in developing effective study skills and advise them in various strategies, thus enabling them to utilize test time wisely and increase the likelihood of higher scores. College bound high school students should know that it is never too early to begin preparing for this important test.
